I have followed the the instructions above to set up Get POP Access in Thunderbird to Yahoo but was not succesful even when I tried as Kate did using another site for tips http://www.math.colostate.edu/~reinholz/freebsd/thunderbird_tips.html and changing the POP port to 5200 did not help. I believe my problem is from the server name for which I used localhost which responded negatively to my yahoo e-mail Any suggestions? I use Windows Vista

This must be for a version of Thunderbird that is older than mine. After the 2nd step nothing looks like yours. I don't have the option to choose "web mail" Just Email Account, RSS News & Blogs, Gmail & Newsgroup Account.
