Ok, I’m back to hosting with 1and1 again, as noted at the bottom of the page. It’s a long story. Perhaps I’ll make a post about it one day.

We had a similar problem with HostForWeb. However, by tuning the caching module in WordPress, we were able to stay on the shared server without any major issues. The staff at HostForWeb was very helpful in helping us test it so we could handle the traffic without hurting the services of their other clients.
